Summer volunteering in schools
In early August, Interns at Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP) visited Essendine Primary School and had a mammoth job of painting classrooms and a hallway in the Early Years area. PWP took the challenge in their stride and with the help of extendable paint rollers got busy painting. The team did a brilliant job, and the Early Years area is now looking bright and airy, ready for children to enjoy in September.
Takeda put their practical skills to good use at Hallfield Primary School. The team worked together adding a fresh coat of paint to exterior walls around the school and playground. Takeda also painted five benches, giving them a new lease of life. Arguably the most challenging and popular job of the day was to jet-wash a playground pergola which is much-loved and a source of imagination at play time. Thank you, Takeda!
It’s been a team effort from volunteers at PA Media, The Point and Vodafone who have been working together to paint an imaginative galaxy-sports themed mural at Marylebone Boys School. The mural has been designed by pupils at Marylebone Boys School and volunteers have brought the mural to life, adding colour to the school’s basement sports hall. The project took two days to complete and tested volunteers’ creativity, by mixing a range of colours to match the student’s design. Thank you to everyone involved.
“Thank you so much. The boys are going to be so surprised when they return in September” – Staff at Marylebone Boys School.
