This year has been designated the #NationalYearOfReading2026 by the government and National Literacy Trust - the biggest #campaign in a generation to help people (re)discover the joy of #reading.

This week is the Society for Storytelling's National Storytelling Week - an annual celebration of the power of sharing stories and the perfect opportunity to shout about all we have planned for #WorldBookDay2026 in March.

We're ready to #GoAllIn and will be running a week of book-based events in #Paddington schools; all designed to inspire children, boost reading confidence and bring books to life. They'll of course be a chance to dress up too!

We were delighted to welcome individuals from The Premier League’s Legal Department to a volunteering event on Friday at North Paddington Foodbank, where the team helped prepare a community lunch for residents. Volunteers worked together brilliantly, sorting and prepping ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and setting up the space to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Their energy and teamwork made a real difference, and it was wonderful to see them engaging with the foodbank staff and locals throughout the morning. A huge thank‑you to The Premier League team for giving their time and supporting the community in such a meaningful way.
