Paddington™ by BRICKLIVE Everything You Need to Know
What is it?
Paddington™ presented and built by BRICKLIVE is a unique collection of life size brick models featuring heart-warming characters and scenes from the classic and much-beloved Paddington franchise.
Join the world’s favourite marmalade- loving bear, Aunt Lucy and 8 other toy brick models and selfie opportunities that are sure to fill visitors with wonder and awe.
Fans of both Paddington and bricks will get an insight into how the models were built and gain inspiration for their own brick building projects. Facts and figures about Paddington and his friends will be displayed alongside each model, making this an educational and entertaining activity.
When is it?
The models will be on display from Saturday 23 – Sunday 31 July. The park will be open from 9am to 7pm.
On Saturday 23 July for ONE DAY ONLY there will be a free funfair to launch the event, including an inflatable Helter Skelter, swing chair ride, music, face painting, balloon artist and ice cream and candy floss. This event is free but to help us monitor numbers please register here.
Where is it and how do I get there?
Norfolk Square Gardens, Paddington, London W2.
The Paddington area is super well connected! The main entrance to the park is just off London Street. Exit Paddington Station on to Praed Street and London Street is just in front of you.
- Tube: Elizabeth Line, Bakerloo Line, District and Circle Lines and Hammersmith and City Lines
- Rail: Great Western and Heathrow Express
- Bus: 7, 23, 27, 36, 205
Is it free? Do I need a ticket?
- The event is free and open to the public.
- You do not need a ticket to visit the models over the display period. However, we would ask you to register for the launch event on Saturday 23 July so that we can monitor numbers and keep you safe. Please register here.
What can we do when we get there?
- You are free to walk amongst the models but please stay outside the barriers.
- Pick up a quiz sheet and learn facts and figures about each model.
- Take pictures and selfies, don’t forget to tag us @inpaddington and use the hashtag #Paddingtonbricklive
- The bath model is designed to be interactive, and you are welcome to climb on it and take pictures.
- Pick up a picnic from the Paddington Café in the station and bring it to the square to expand your Paddington Bear experience.
Can we touch the models?
- The bath model is the ONLY model designed to be interactive, and you are welcome to climb on it and take pictures.
- Please do not touch the other models and stay outside the barrier.
Will food and drink be available on site?
- There will be no food available on site apart from on the launch day when only ice cream and candy floss will be available.
- However, there are plenty of great options of food in Paddington from Malaysian to Italian and Lebenese to Fish and Chips. Check out your options here or pick up an Explore Paddington Magazine.
- Top tip! Pick up a picnic from the Paddington Café in Paddington Station and bring it to the square. You can find them in the Lawn area of Paddington Station along with the Paddington Bear Shop.
