Floating Market Returns to Paddington’s Canalside this Summer
Freshly-made street food, cut flowers, fluffy towels, fragrant candles and fabulous gifts will all be available to purchase at Paddington Central’s five-day floating market this summer.
From Wednesday 14 – Sunday 18 August, the Grand Union Canal will welcome barges selling an array of tempting goodies. A number of local vendors will be attending, selling everything from handmade bags to houseplants and homeware. The sellers will spill onto the tow path and even the Paddington Central amphitheatre, where Pall Mall Barbers will host a pop-up barber shop.
If you’re tempted to buy, there will be reusable Floating Market tote bags for sale, so you can safely transport your purchases home. The proceeds from selling the tote bags will all go to West London Mission – a local charity who support people affected by homelessness, poverty and trauma.
Once you’re all shopped out, head to one of the canalside eateries for much needed refreshment. London Shell Co., Vagabond Wines and PURE will all be serving samples of food and drink to tempt your taste buds. A smoothie bike, delicious juices prepared by students from local charity Pursuing Independent Paths and Crazy Dave cider will also be on offer.
