Avoid the stress and strain of Black Friday deals and instead purchase unique gifts in Paddington, whilst supporting local charitable causes this Christmas.
On Thursday evening, Avenues Youth Project are hosting their inaugural Christmas market between 6:30pm and 9pm. Local traders will be selling their wares; with stocking fillers, decorations and clothing at sample sale prices.
Stall holders will include; Wilder Botanics, an organic beauty and skin care company, Retrouvius who create furniture from salvaged materials, hand-thrown ceramics from Lotts Potts and the Hedgehog Shop, who sell beautiful children’s toys made from wood and natural materials.
A week later on 5 December, Friends of St Mary’s Hospital will be holding their annual Christmas Bazaar in the entrance of the Queen Mother Wing between 10:30am and 2:30pm. Stalls will stock books, jewellery, toys, gifts, bric-a-brac, Christmas cards and delicious homemade produce. There will also be a raffle with plenty of enticing prizes, including £500 for the winning ticket.
If you work locally, why not bring your beautiful presents along to our volunteer wrappers on 11 and 12 December on Kingdom Street, for the perfect finishing touch. In return for a donation to St John’s Hospice, colleagues from Vodafone and Paddington Central will wrap your gifts between 11:30am and 3:15pm.
