adam&eveDDB take home the Dragon Boat Regatta Cup

On 18 June Paddington Bear waved on 16 teams from Paddington companies who took to the water to compete in Paddington's annual Dragon Boat Regatta.

Sponsored by European Land, the developers of Paddington Basin and Merchant Square, the fundraising event has been staged every year since 2000.

For the second year running, teams raised vital funds for Action Medical Research, whose mascot is Paddington Bear. The charity saves and changes children's lives through medical research. Winning team adam&eveDDB snatched the fastest team crown from Nissan UK, who have held the title for the last two years. Crossrail's contractors at Paddington, Costain Skanska JV, were runners up after a nail-biting finish.

Other teams included BMG, Heathrow Express, Marks & Spencer, Merchant Square, Misys, Paddington Central, Robin Partington & Partners, Virgin, Visa Europe and Whizz Education.
