New Retailers announced at Paddington Station
The area known as ‘The Lawn’, which houses Paddington Station's retail outlets is being renovated to provide customers with better retail choices and more food and drink outlets
Network Rail's investment will create a modern retail and dining hub for station users, better passenger and customer waiting facilities, including more seating.
Used by 62 million people a year, demand is expected to increase considerably following the arrival of Crossrail in 2018 as well as major developments in the surrounding Paddington area.
New retailers include Cards Galore; Kiehl’s; Wasabi; Paddington Bear; Boots; Thomas Pink; Accessorize; Fat Face; Isle of Flowers; M&S; Cabin Wine Bar; Leon; Café Ritazza; Sainsbury's; Barburrito.
Existing retailers WHSmith, EAT, Patisserie Valerie, Starbucks and the Mad Bishop and Bear will continue to operate throughout the work.
There will be a 5 week period between 18th
July – late August in which both the Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer
supermarkets are closed for business while improvement works are being
undertaken. Sainsbury’s will open in August, with Marks and Spencer set
to reopen in early November.
